Cowan Tower

This interlocking tower stood on the Norfolk & Western main line at Cowan, Virginia, at MP N-306. It controlled trains entering and leaving the single track through Pepper Tunnel and moving on the passing siding that started here and ran west past Belspring to MP N-308.8. It also controlled entry into the Radford Army Ammunition Plant siding.
